AFFA together with Azerbaijan Beach Soccer Federation nominated Baku for hosting European Beach Soccer Cup championship and applied appropriate documents to the Professional Beach Soccer Association.

After talks they have come to an accord that matches of European Beach Soccer Cup championship will be held in Baku between 18 and 21 September.

Azerbaijan, Italy, Spain, Sweden, England and Norway will meet in competitions for European Cup.

It should be noted that heretofore this tournament was organized in following cities:

1998 - Siracura (Italy)
1999 - Alicante (Spain)
2001 - Maspalomas (Spain)
2002 - Barcelona (Spain)
2003 - Liege (Belgium)
2004 - Lisbon (Portugal)
2005 - Moscow (Russia)
2006 - Naples (Italy)
2007 - Tarragona (Spain)

2008 - Baku(Azerbaijan)
